Reviving the FP1?

Sebagai sorg noob dunia permotoran, Mike baru tau Malaysia pernah membuat superbike: Petronas FP1
Reviving the FP1? FP1_01.530

Walaupon dibuat untuk race & tak dijual, why not take the japanese approach?
Make a race bike, then make a road version using more budget materials & tech but still won't affect much of the quality.
Kalau kilang modenas boleh buat 75 biji, & KTM pun dah bukak kilang kat Malaysia, ini menunjukkan Malaysia ada potensi untuk buat Superbike!

Bukan ke lagi sia2 dah labur duit banyak2 untuk R&D, last2 moto tersadai & blueprint nya berhabuk.
Kalo ditawarkan pada harga RM40k (rasanya reasonable sbab tak perlu tax & duti import), Mike ada terpikirlah nak hupgrade Twisted Evil

Kat Malaysia ni mana bole takde cukai dengan duti import. Nanti lapar la perut orang-orang besar tu. Tak bole jual murah-murah. Entah-entah keluar modal buat motor tu pun dulu cuma jalan nak menghalalkan duit aje, masuk poket... (pendapat 15 sen)

FP1 adalah singkatan foggy petronas 1, iaitu sempena nama rider carl forggaty (x rider ducati) yg juga jadi ketuanya. Sebelum tertubuhnya fp1 ni, petronas nak masuk moto gp, disebabkan ada pegawqi tertinggi dlm petronas minat carl fogatty maka terjadilah FP1 untuk masuk SBK. Oleh kerana nak masuk SBK kene ada pengeluaran minimum maka terhasilah moto yg sekarang yg tersadai di dlm gudang. FP1 pun x begitu menyerlah kerana, salah satu sebab ialah mereka pilih utk guna enjin 3 silinder. Memang agak tertinggal terutama pada litar lurus.

Kalaulah dihidupkan kembali FP1 mungkin bukan lagi dipanggil FP1 (x tahulah kalau nk panggil carl foggaty balik), dan aku berharap baik masuk motogp terus dan dapatkan khidmat rossi lepas dia habis kontrak. Jadilah VRP46.... (kalaulah jadi)

Jadi dipendekan cerita peteronas memang salah percaturan dlm dunia moto kalau nak dibandingkan dgn dlm dunia F1. Jadi mungkin lama lagi petronas nak hidupkan balik superbikenya.

Kalu pun tak masuk racing.. nape tak jual kat market jer..
mungkin ada masalah besar yg diorg tak dpt nak masukkan ke pasaran tempatan..
kalu harga rendah pun,tp byk masalah wat per nak kuarkan..
lebih baik blueprint berhabuk dari asik kena maki..
